Marian Botchway oversees training and educational programs and initiatives within the Eck Institute for Global Health at the University of Notre Dame to enhance academic success and professional development at the undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate levels. Her research focuses on chronic diseases, nutrition, and links between social networks and health outcomes. Previously, she was a CDC Foundation Fellow within the CDC’s Global Health Center and a Technical Advisor, assigned by the Carter Center, to support the Guinea Worm Eradication Program in Ethiopia. Marian has a bachelor’s degree in Biology from Washington and Lee University, a Master’s in Public Health from Emory University, and a PhD in Health Promotion, Education, and Behavior from the University of South Carolina.
