Divya Duraisamy, MPH, is a New York State Public Health Fellow at Mechanicville Area Community Services Center focused on action based, food sovereignty work. She leads a regional food assistance program, authored its first SOP, designed a Power App for real time inventory and client check-ins, and implemented a client-choice pantry to advance the autonomy of individuals' food options and reduce food waste. She partners with clients to address barriers like food preparation, conducts data analysis and visualization with Tableau and Power BI, and translates grassroots insights into equity driven, scalable interventions.
