Dr. Shannon McMorrow is an Associate Professor at Western Michigan University. She has worked in public health for 28 years as an educator, advocate, and academic in diverse and multidisciplinary settings across the U.S., Belize, Uganda, and Thailand. She conducts community engaged qualitative health research, specializing in Photovoice and longitudinal Photovoice to promote health, gender, and racial equity globally. Key accomplishments include co-authoring a book on Photovoice , serving as a Fulbright Scholar at Makerere University, Uganda, receiving the WMU emerging scholar award, and serving as a U.S. Fulbright Specialist with Naresuan University,Thailand. Dr. McMorrow currently serves on the SOPHE board of trustees and the editorial board for Health Promotion Practice, one of SOHPE's, three outstanding journals.
