Dr. Whitney is an Associate Professor in the Department of Public Health and Community Health Education at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and Academic Director for the MS in Healthcare Administration program. She earned her doctoral degree from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. Dr. Whitney incorporates service learning into her courses and supports advocacy efforts while teaching health literacy to improve public health services. Her research focuses on college student health, underage drinking, motivational interviewing, and theory application in public health programs.
