Raquel Young is a second-year Master of Public Health candidate at the University of Missouri specializing in Veterinary Public Health. Her research interests include One Health, zoonotic disease awareness, and health equity. She has presented on community-based public health initiatives and is the founder and lead of the Care Cupboard menstrual equity program. Her current research examines how knowledge, awareness, and risk perceptions influence health outcomes in under-resourced communities. She aspires to pursue a PhD and contribute to teaching and mentoring the next generation of public health professionals.
