Dr. Arica Brandford, PhD, JD, RN, CHW serves as the inaugural Dorothy and Mickey Ables Community Outreach and Engagement Distinguished New Century Chair and Associate Director of Community Outreach and Engagement at Houston Methodist Neal Cancer Center, where she also holds an appointment as Assistant Research Professor of Community Engagement Science in Medicine. She leads and actively directs CPRIT-funded initiatives and ACS-funded programs focused on cancer prevention, education, screening, and patient navigation to improve access and outcomes in underserved communities. Dr. Brandford develops culturally tailored interventions and community-based programs to increase screening participation and reduce cancer disparities.
