Vanessa Cummings, MPH, MCHES®, is a seasoned health educator with over a decade of experience in public health, specializing in program planning, implementation, and equity-focused initiatives. Currently serving as a Health Program Coordinator within Sacramento County Public Health’s Health and Racial Equity Unit, where she supports cross-sector efforts to advance racial equity. Vanessa has led local initiatives in both urban and rural settings, including tobacco prevention education and CalFresh Healthy Living programs. As a ‘first’ - A first-generation college graduate from San Diego, she holds an MPH from Cal State Northridge and began her DrPH at Loma Linda University in Fall 2025.
