Miranda Scott received her Master of Arts in Legal Studies and Master of Business Administration degrees from the University of Illinois at Springfield. During her MBA education journey, she was inducted to the Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS) business honor society. Miranda obtained a certificate in Information Technology (IT) Project Management. This certificate supplements her passion of understanding the strengths and challenges surrounding IT systems in the health care industry.
Miranda has held various roles in the nursing clinical arena including student mentor, manager, and educator. In her previous experience with government service, Miranda has worked as a Legal Nurse Consultant enjoying various advisory roles including Freedom of Information Officer and HIPAA Privacy Officer. Her current role at the Illinois Department of Public Health supports her passion involving the intersection of the healthcare industry and government oversight.
