Barbara Bolick is as assistant professor of health behavior at Texas A&M University. Her research focuses on contextual factors that support the adaptive development of low-income, early adolescent girls. Her primary focus is on immigrant origin girls and girls living in Latin America. She has worked with underserved populations throughout Latin America for 20 years. The program she developed supporting self-efficacy in low-income girls is active in six Latin American countries and received a special commendation from the Ministry of Education in Chile.
