Gabriella Colon is a third-year medical student at McGovern Medical School passionate about advancing health equity and inclusive education. Her work focuses on improving health literacy and self-advocacy among adults with intellectual disabilities. She developed and implemented a 12-week self-advocacy curriculum that empowers participants to navigate healthcare systems more confidently. Gabriella’s research and community engagement reflect her commitment to accessible, person-centered care and bridging gaps between public health and clinical practice.
