Anita Enoma is an senior undergraduate public health student at the University of Texas at San Antonio, concentrating in health services on the pre-pharmacy track. In the summer of 2025, Anita was selected as 1 of 25 students for the Pitt Public Health Undergraduate Scholars Program (PHUSP). Through the immersive 8-week internship experience, Anita focused her research on community-engaged methods for addressing health disparities. This culminated in the "Vision to Voice" project, where she developed and implemented a curriculum integrating photovoice as a youth participatory action research (YPAR) method to increase youth advocacy in Pittsburgh. Upon the successful completion of her internship, Anita was selected to serve as the Public Health Internship Peer Mentor for fellow peers at her home institution. As she steps into the next phase of her academic and professional journey, Anita is eager to pursue her Doctor of Pharmacy Degree at the University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy. She strives to one day play a larger role in translating community voice into effective, equity-driven health care.
