Muriel Statman is a Clinical Research Coordinator in the Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center's Cancer Prevention and Control (CPC) program. She manages participant recruitment, data analysis, lab operations, and mentors undergraduate research assistants while contributing to publications and presentations. Muriel coordinates Georgetown’s Young Scholars Program, which provides hands-on STEM education to underserved students attending Title I schools in DC, Maryland, and Virginia. A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Emory University with degrees in Chemistry and Sociology, she previously conducted breast cancer disparities research at Rollins School of Public Health and Winship Cancer Institute. Muriel will begin medical school in Fall 2026 and hopes to pursue a career in oncology and public health.
