Dr. Olya Clark is an assistant professor in Health Promotion at Springfield College. Her academic background includes a BA/MA degree in History and English from Petrozavodsk State University (Russia). She also holds a Master’s of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with the focus in social justice from Keene State College and a Ph.D. in Public Health from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Her research interests are political economy of health, social justice in health and medicine, elderly health and health care issues, global health inequities, and social determinants of health. She has extensive teaching, research, and other professional experiences in the fields of education and public health in Russia, India, and the United States.
