Dr. Kruti Chaliawala, CHES, is an assistant professor in the School of Public and Population Health at Boise State University whose work bridges cultures, challenges disparities, and hopes to transform narratives. An international scholar-turned-assistant professor, Dr. Chaliawala brings over a decade of lived experience as an international student to her research. She is an advocate for marginalized voices, especially those of international college students, and delves deep into the psychosocial determinants of health, minority stress, sexual health, and mental well-being.
