Jodi Brookins-Fisher, PhD, MCHES, FESG is a Professor in the Division of Public Health, School of Health Sciences at Central Michigan University. She is a member of the SOPHE Board and the Advocacy Committee and chair of the Great Lakes Chapter SOPHE Advocacy Committee. Dr. Brookins-Fisher has also been a President of Eta Sigma Gamma, the Chapter Sponsor of Eta Chapter at CMU and SOPHE’s Advocacy Committee Chair. She is a passionate human rights activist and believes strongly in equity for all groups when it comes to accessible and affordable health care. Additionally, she feels that advocacy within the Public Health profession should be at the forefront of our current and future endeavors and that all public health professionals MUST be civically engaged.
