Dr. Lindsey Rice Bender is the associate director of operations for Aletheia House. In this role, Dr. Rice Bender oversees the agency’s federally qualified health center for the homeless, substance misuse prevention programs, grant writing, and program evaluation.
Dr. Rice Bender’s work focuses on the expansion of community-based healthcare, the treatment and prevention of maternal substance use disorders, and the prevention of adolescent substance misuse.
Dr. Rice Bender holds a Bachelor of Arts in Health and Literature from Vanderbilt University, a Master of Public Health in Maternal and Child Health from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and a Doctor of Public Health in Maternal and Child Health from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
