Payal Patel (she/her/hers)

Payal Patel is a third-year medical student at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine, Lexington campus. Payal earned her B.S. degree in Neuroscience from Georgia Institute of Technology. She is a fellow of the Professional Student Mentorship Research Fellowship (PSMRF) Program at UKCOM and is currently working on a quantitative research project studying maternal and fetal outcomes of elective inductions. Payal’s passion for women's health led her to join Dr. Evans’ Health, Equity, Advancement, and Learning (HEAL) research lab, where she hopes to advance her knowledge in maternal and infant loss and health equity while striving to become a future physician who practices effective patient-centered care.
