Dr.Nida Qamar is a Ph.D. Candidate in Community Health Education at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where she teaches courses on global health and personal health and has taugth a course in immigrant & refugee health. With more than a decade of experience in public health, humanitarian work, and research, her work focuses on immigrant & refugee health, social determinants of health, and human trafficking. She has presented at national conferences, contributed to research on gender equality and human trafficking, and is a member of the North Carolina Coalition Against Human Trafficking and a developing scholar with the Global Association of Human Trafficking Scholars. As a Minerva Scholar and Alumni-Hayes-Excellence Fellow, she brings a global, community-engaged perspective to advancing health equity.
