Dr. David Brown is the Public Health Engagement Specialist and a State Outreach Specialist for the Network of the National Library of Medicine (NNLM), Region 4, a subsidiary of the National Institutes of Health.
Prior to joining the NNLM, he served as a full-time faculty member in public health and health education programs. In his teaching career he has served on over 30 successful dissertation committees for Ph.D. and Dr.PH. students.
He currently serves as the Treasurer for the Society for Public Health Education. He also serves as a leader with state/local public health associations and library associations. He is a former associate editor for Health Promotion Practice and still serves on several editorial boards in the areas of public health, health education and health promotion.
