Briana Belcher, MPH, CHES is the Asthma Coordinator at the New Jersey Department of Health, leading statewide initiatives to reduce disparities and improve outcomes for those affected by asthma. She aids in the development of community-based strategies, and partnerships that address social and environmental determinants of health. Briana holds a Masters of Public Health from Rutgers University, where she worked on breast cancer equity research. Her prior roles in local health departments focused on outreach and education. As a Certified Health Education Specialist, she also volunteers with Rutgers Cooperative Extension to address food insecurity in LGBTQIA2S+ communities. Her committed work demonstrates her allegiance to health equity and public health initiatives across New Jersey.
