Dr. Leslie Hoglund is an Associate Professor of Public Health at the Joint School of Public Health at Old Dominion University and Norfolk State University. With over 25 years of experience in public health, she leads innovative efforts to improve food security and equity by focusing on policy, systems, and environmental (PSE) strategies that promote inclusive nutrition—including for those affected by food allergies and dietary restrictions. Dr. Hoglund is dedicated to co-creating effective, community-led solutions that advance health equity and access to nourishing, safe food for all. She aims to use health impact assessments, applied research, and legal epidemiology to create and redesign the local food system to promote food as a human right.
