Martine Hackett is an associate professor, the Director of the Master of Public Health Program, and the chair of the Department of Population Health at Hofstra University. Her research and community-based work are focused on maternal-child health, suburban public health, and health equity and the intersection of health and housing. She is also the co-founder of Birth Justice Warriors, an organization dedicated to reducing Black maternal and infant mortality in suburban Nassau County, New York.
