Mark Kelley is a Professor and Director of Public Health academic programs in the School of Interdisciplinary Health Programs at Western Michigan University. He earned his PhD and MEd at the University of Arkansas (go Hawgs!!) He has held faculty and/or administrative positions at several institutions including UW-La Crosse, Western Illinois University and Oklahoma State University before coming to WMU. Dr. Kelley served as volunteer HIV/AIDS specialist for a non-profit organization through which he trained teachers, administrators, and physicians in Argentina, Belarus, Fiji, Lithuania, Mongolia, Papua New Guinea, Russia and Tobago. He has published scholarly manuscripts in a variety of professional journals. He has taught undergraduate and graduate level courses statistics, epidemiology, and research design for over 30 years, which may qualify him as a "public health data nerd."
