Maria T. Roque, DrPH, MPH, CHES, is a public health practitioner and educator serving as an Instructional Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Behavior at Texas A&M University School of Public Health. Maria has been an educator since 2015, and she has seven years of experience teaching diverse public health topics to both graduate and undergraduate students. As an educator, she is passionate about mentoring students holistically to become independent learners who advocate for themselves and others. As a public health practitioner, she is committed to improving reproductive and maternal and child health outcomes through research, education, and the development of culturally responsive, community-centered health promotion interventions.
