Dr. Marie Martin serves as the Assistant Dean for Global Health Education at the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, Associate Director for Education and Training at the Vanderbilt Institute for Global Health (VIGH) and Associate Professor in the Department of Health Policy. Dedicated to strengthening global capacity in the health sciences, Dr. Martin partners with universities and governments globally to build robust training and educational programs. Her grant-funded work in Zambia, Liberia and Nigeria is focused on faculty development, mentorship, health policy, and health science education. At Vanderbilt, she teaches multiple courses in global health across the university and leads global health academic training programs for students, trainees and faculty.
